Handicapping
More than 8,000 Delaware golfers utilize the BlueGolf handicap system to post scores online or using our free Mobile App, DSGA by BlueGolf. The DSGA provides BlueGolf software, which includes a comprehensive tournament management system, the installation of the software, remote support, and any necessary training, as a complimentary service to our member clubs.
Course Rating
As part of our member services, the DSGA is certified by the USGA to rate all tees (for both men and women) at Member courses in accordance with the USGA Course and Slope Rating System and maintains all data to ensure accurate score posting occurs for all members.
Rules of Golf
The DSGA plays an important part in the Rules of Golf by being the official liaison between the ultimate authority on the Rules, the USGA, and our members and clubs. During the course of the year, the DSGA answers numerous phone inquiries regarding the Rules. The DSGA will host a Rules seminar at any member club and tackle the rules scenarios on your trickiest holes. Additionally, qualified rules officials are present at all DSGA and DSGA Women’s Division tournaments, as well as many local college events.
Growing the Game
The DSGA Scholarship Fund awards college funds to deserving juniors each year. Over $1 million has been awarded since 1986. Additionally, the DSGA works cooperatively with the Philadelphia PGA Section, the Mid-Atlantic GCSAA and The First Tee of Delaware to promote programs and grow the game in our region.
